چکیده

Abstract. This paper describes version 2.0 of the Global Change and Air Pollution (GCAP 2.0) model framework, a one-way offline coupling between E2.1 NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) general circulation (GCM) GEOS-Chem global 3-D chemical-transport (CTM). Meteorology driving has been archived from contributions to phase 6 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP6) pre-industrial era recent past. In addition, meteorology is available near future end century seven scenarios ranging extreme mitigation warming. Emissions boundary conditions have prepared input that are consistent with CMIP6 experimental design. The meteorology, emissions, transport, chemistry evaluated in past found be largely driven by Modern-Era Retrospective analysis Research Applications 2 (MERRA-2) product observational constraints.

Global climate models: past, present, and future.

Introduction Global climate is a result of the complex interactions between the atmosphere, cryosphere (ice), hydrosphere (oceans), lithosphere (land), and biosphere (life), fueled by the non-uniform spatial distribution of incoming solar radiation. We know from climate reconstructions using recorders such as ice cores, ocean and lake sediment cores, tree rings, corals, cave deposits, and groun...
